Academics

  • Content for classes will be determined by the board and parent input.

  • Parents are asked to help in teaching the classes. Some classes at the  junior high and high school levels may be taught with the help of outside educators.

  • This is not a drop-off and pick-up co-op. Families are expected to be on the premises and to help in all areas to make the co-op function smoothly. This is a family run co-op.

  • This is not a preschool replacement and not intended as an alternative to the parish preschool. We are seeking families who intend to homeschool their children beyond the preschool years.

  • Our focus for the elementary grades will be enrichment classes that center around science, literature, and history. No outside classroom work is required.

  • Our focus for junior high and high school is science and literature, with work being required outside of the classroom.

  • We will break down classes by age, and parents can determine whether their children are ready for the next level or not.

  • Age groupings will be (with flexibility due to class size and a child’s need): Infant to 2,  3 to 4, 5 to 6, 7 to 9, 10 to 13, and 14 to 18

  • We will also have days during co-op where we celebrate saints and feast days. Participation in these days is optional.
